Object description

Location / Access / Distances

The property is situated in the middle of the chilean see region, 2,5 km away from the picturesque city Puerto Octay and the Llanquihue Sea which is the second largest sea of Chile. It`s situated 47 km to the south of the provincial capital Osorno and about 75 km to the north of the port town Puerto Montt. The access is on/ trough a good asphalted road. The realty is 300 m away from this road.
The parcel of land is surrounded by pasturage and forrest and you have a breathtaking view to the snow-covered volcano Osorno.

Development

The realty has a size of 13.000 m². The buildings are surrounded by a beautiful garden with lavender, sage, rhododendron, azalea, hortensia, with about 70 young fruit trees (about 10 years old), 13 different apple tree varieties, plums, cherries, pears, quinces and chestnuts. There are about 40 blueberry and raspberries bushes. There are also approximately 100 native trees as Notro, Coigue, Arrayan, Radal, Maitén and others. Additionally you have an meadow area of about
5000 m².

Building / Rooms / Technical installations

The property is a kind of hostel for tourists with a capacity of 21 guests, consisting of 4 buildings:
1. Main house with 2 floors and 180 m² living area. It´s a beautiful wooden house cladded with shingles made of alerce and a grass roof. The interior of the house has been constructed with a lot of wood, rustic and with passion for detail. There is an open room (living room, dining room and kitchen), 7 rooms, 2 bathrooms, pantry and laundry room. On the eastern side of the house there is a big sun terrace (30 m²) with a graet view to the Osorno volcano.For cooking and heating there is a traditional wood fired oven. This building is from 1998 and it´s in a very good condition.
2. The second building was build in 2003. It´s an octagonal building with 100 m². It´s the restaurant for the guests. There is a big room, a big kitchen, a pantry, a niche for Internet workstation and two bathrooms. Through the staircase you can reach the inventive „tower room“ with 39 m² where you have a gorgeous all-around vision. The building is constructed with wood, the roof and the wall cladding is made of shingles (alerce). The interior is built with oregon pine wood and has windows on all walls. The huge sun terrace of 90 m² invites you to relax.
3.+4. The third and fourth buildings are guest houses of 38 m² and 40 m². Each of them has two rooms with private bathroom. Both are made of solid wood and the roofs are covered with grass. They were built in 2006 and 2007 and have small wood fired ovens.

Equipment

All guest rooms are furnished (wooden furniture, nordic style). The beds have all new mattresses of very good quality. The kitchen is fully fitted with gas stove and big oven, 300 l freezer, refrigerator and continuous-flow water heater. Additionally there is a small kitchen for the guests. In the restaurant there are three masive wooden tables made of oregon pine wood for 26 persons.

This is a chaine which established in Chile 10 years ago and which is well known by many tourists.
