Object description

Location / Access / Distances

The property is approx. 400 km south of Santiago de Chile, at the road to the well-known thermal baths of Chillán (Termas de Chillán).
The distance to Chillán is 45 km, to Pinto 15 km, to Recinto 1 km and to the Termas de Chillán approx. 25 km.
The village Recinto is within close distance to the river Río Diguillín and 4 km from the property the Río Chillán flows. The Pacific is approx. 100 km away.
The public bus to Chillán and Recinto drives past the property. The driving time to Chillán amounts to about 30 minutes. A German school is situated in Chillán and a primary school is located in Pinto.

Development / Existing constructions

The electrical power line runs past the property along the road to the Termas de Chillán, which has its own spring.
The only construction on the property is a small, simple hut which could be used for tools and building materials.

Topography

Along the road the property is predominantly levelled. The middle range is slightly hilly, whereas the northern areas are partly shaped by steeper passages.

Vegetation

The vegetation is predominantly original out of native trees and bushes like the Avellano (Gevuina avellana) and the Rauli (Nothofagus alpina). Between the forests and groves there are open spaces, which can be used for animal husbandry or agriculture.
As far as it is known, the property was yet not utilized for agricultural use.

Note

Apart from the private use, the object is excellent suitable for commercial use in tourism, e.g. as a hotel, restaurant, seminar house etc.
Within close distance one can find a broad spectrum of outdoor activities like trekking, horseback riding, rafting, cycling etc. The skiing area around the volcano Chillán is one of the largest and most well-known in South America.
