Object description
Location / Access / Distances
The property is situated 68 km away from Concepción, second largest city of Chile; 55 km from Chillán, capitol of the province of Ñuble; and 24 km from the quiet town of Quillón, where is located the Avendaño lagoon, an attractive and natural place, ideal for the aquatic sports practice.
The last 8 km are dirt road. During some weeks of the year it´s been necessary to use a pick up or a 4WD-vehicle for this part.
Development / Existing constructions
The property has no constructions or canalization, however counts with electric net and spring water that supplies irrigation of the plantations all year long. The terrain is interiorly communicated by forest roads in good condition.
Topography
The real estate is part of the last eastern spurs of the Cordillera de la Costa, mountain zone that runs at coastline of Pacific parallel with the Cordillera de los Andes. The hilly character of the plot is nuanced by two plateaus of about 300 qm surface area each one with excellent views over the valley.
Vegetation
The terrain has 20 ha planted with pine (pino insigne) and eucalyptus globulus, which will be ready for exploitation in 5 years counted from 2009.
At the foot of the terrain, distributed in 1 ha of surface, there are planted 1.200 cherry trees of the variety "corazón de paloma", which is distinguished by it´s delicious flavor and attractive appearance.
Other 3 ha are overgrown with natives and foreign trees: amongst others aromos of brilliant yellow flowers in spring; boldos (peumus boldus); robles (nothofagus obliqua); peumos (cryptocarya alba), mañíos (podocarpus), arrayanes (luma apiculata) and litres (lithrea caustica).
Note
The town of Quillón offers all needs for daily life: school, hospital, supermarket, gas station, hostels and restaurants, among other basic services.
